Craig Grover, ChFC®
Founder and Financial Advisor
Craig has more than 20 years of experience assisting clients with financial and insurance services. He is committed to establishing personal relationships with his clients. Craig believes this is critical to developing individualized, cohesive financial plans that reflect and target both short- and long-term plans, while allowing for the normal ups and downs of a life well lived. While specializing in assisting college and university faculty and staff members, he also works alongside CPA’s and Estate Planning attorneys in helping successful small business with a wide variety of tax planning strategies.
Craig was born and raised in Maine, growing up on Mt. Desert Island where he enjoyed exploring beautiful Acadia National Park, the inspiration for the company name. This combined with his service in the Armed Forces as a member of the 3rd Ranger Battalion, stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia, helped Craig form his pragmatic approach to his career as a financial advisor, and his client-centric approach to financial planning.
Prior to forming Acadia Wealth Planning, Craig co-founded Evergreen Strategic Partners in 2016 after spending more than 10 years at Penobscot Financial Advisors. He also previously worked for California Casualty Insurance Company in Phoenix, Arizona, where he serviced members of the Arizona Education Association. Craig began his career as a Registered Representative for New England Financial.
Craig maintains FINRA Series 6 and 7 securities registrations through LPL Financial and the Series 66 through LPL Financial and Northeast Planning Associates, Inc. He is also licensed in Life, Health and Variable Contracts. He is also a former board member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, an organization committed to continuing education for advisors.
Craig graduated from Bangor Christian in 1984, and attended at Liberty University and George Mason University, both in Virginia. Always active in his community, Craig is a volunteer for Junior Achievement, which focuses on financial literacy for students in grades K-12. Always active in his community, Craig presents to students in the University of Maine System and participates in fund raising drives for a variety of events, whether to raise money for local sports teams, animal shelters, or scholarship programs.
Craig lives in Brewer, Maine, with his business and life partner, April Totman. They also spend time during the winter months in Fort Myers, Florida. Craig has two children, Jackson and Samantha. In his spare time, Craig enjoys quality time with family and staying active outdoors: exploring Mt. Desert Island, playing golf, participating in Iron Man and other elite sporting events, and running, preferably in Bangor City Forest.
